Rusty and her brother Randy were designed for their hands by a lonely mechanic who needed new spanners. Very fond of her tools, the mechanic also wanted companions she could take inside with her to cuddle on the couch after work. Soon realising that the robots were more effective at the cuddles than the spanner-ing, the mechanic switched from fixing cars to making soft toys.
